10 Books I’ve Read Lately That Confirm My Commitment to a Plant-Based Lifestyle
📚With so many great books out there, this is what's on my bookshelf …
I love a great list. Make it a book list, and I'm in heaven. I’m always looking for new books to read. I have books scattered all over my house. I read several books at a time, depending on the hour of the day.
Here’s what my day looks like.
I get up and perform my morning ritual. Meditation. Journaling. A little stretching and yoga. Reading for 20 minutes.
I pick up books throughout my day, depending on where my business leads me.
I sit down in the afternoon and choose from another pile in my living room. It might be a cookbook, or a productivity book, or a fiction if I’m deep into a story.
Sitting on my nightstand is almost always women’s fiction or a romance. I need something light before I go to bed. Something that takes away the stress of the day, and lets me relax into a “fluffy” story.
Maybe that’s why people often ask me for book recommendations. When they hear I easily work through 50 to 60 books a year, they want to know which books have influenced me. Which books I would recommend.
Of course, that list can morph and change depending on who I’m talking with. But you’re here because you’re on a health journey, and I have a few thoughts on the books that I include in my own library.
Each of these sections is much bigger - I tried to include books that have been published in just the past few years. I do believe there is a lot to learn from books written 20, 30 years ago or older. But I wanted to keep this fairly short, something you could get through in a year. 😉
